DM0412 Low Speed Centrifuge
Routine sample separation depends on reproducibility as much as speed, so rotor configuration and documentation often matter more than the headline number.
Benchtop centrifugation for serum, plasma, buffy-coat and red-cell separation is high-volume, repetitive work. The DM0412 is listed for exactly those applications and for pretreatment of other liquid samples in clinical, IVD, biomedical and research laboratories.
Two rotor configurations are documented. The A12-10P takes 1.5–5 mL, 7 mL and 10 mL tubes, twelve at a time, with a maximum RCF of 2490×g. The A6-50P takes six 15 mL or 50 mL tubes and reaches 1800×g. Neither specification should be extended to sizes the sheet does not list.
Both versions share a 300–4500 rpm range in 100 rpm increments, ±20 rpm accuracy, an LCD, and run times from 30 seconds to 99 minutes or continuous HOLD. Speed can be set in RPM or RCF, and a press-and-hold pulse key supports short spins.
Safety features are stated as door interlock, overspeed detection and automatic internal diagnosis, plus an electrically locked lid that releases automatically after a run. The two-step braking adjustment applies only to the A6-50P rotor — a distinction that affects cycle time planning.
Certification claims span CE, UKCA, FCC, ICES, RoHS, CB and cTUVus, with a stated explosion-proof test. Buyers in regulated laboratories should obtain the actual certificates and confirm they cover the specific voltage variant, since the unit accepts 100–240 V single-phase at 50 or 60 Hz.
Procurement questions remain: rotor and adapter availability, whether tubes must be purchased separately, expected rotor service life, and local calibration and repair support. At 6 kg and 354×304×215 mm, bench footprint is modest, but accessories and spares determine long-term cost.
The decisive check is whether a documented rotor capacity matches the tube sizes a laboratory actually runs, and whether the paperwork behind each certification can be produced on request.
Why it matters:
A centrifuge is only as useful as its rotor set and its paperwork. Confirm tube compatibility and certificate scope before treating any specification as settled.
