The Virgo is a 12.1-inch multi-parameter monitor built for the ICU, CCU, and general ward. It tracks ECG (up to 12 leads), SpO2, non-invasive blood pressure, respiration, pulse rate, and dual temperature — the standard toolkit for continuous surveillance. Eight waveforms can be displayed simultaneously, with ST-segment and 17-type arrhythmia analysis running in the background.

Optional modules — Masimo SpO2, Suntech NIBP, invasive blood pressure, capnography — let hospitals scale the platform without swapping hardware. The 480-hour trend storage and 48-hour waveform playback cover an entire patient stay, supporting retrospective audit and clinical review.

Connectivity is where the Virgo reveals its system-level intent. Wired and wireless central monitoring (CMS) with HL7 protocol support feeds data directly into hospital information systems. This turns each bedside unit into a node in a real-time surveillance network, enabling remote alarm management and cross-departmental data access.

China’s medical-device procurement increasingly favors platforms that reduce per-bed complexity. The Virgo’s modularity and protocol compatibility reflect a market where hardware must serve both clinical needs and IT integration — a shift away from siloed, proprietary systems.

For operators, the practical value lies in reduced false alarms (via smarter MEWS thresholds) and less manual data entry. For administrators, the Virgo offers a path to standardized monitoring without vendor lock-in, anchored by broad protocol support and a rechargeable battery that eliminates power-related interruptions.
